BAM! World-renowned chef and Food Network star Emeril Lagasse pulled in a whopper of a wahoo during the Sandestin Celebration Fishing Tournament at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort this past weekend. Lagasse, who listed his residence as Miramar Beach, landed a 60.3-pounder while fishing aboard the Ole Miss with Capt. Brand Benton.  His catch placed first in the Wahoo Division and was worth $1,285.72 in prize money.

Back to the Beach Concert on Saturday, Sept. 25

The Walton County Tourist Development Council (TDC) has secured GRAMMY-winner Vince Gill to perform a free outdoor "Back to the Beach" concert on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and the concert begins at 6 p.m.
