The Sandestin Gumbo Festival
Northwest Florida’s favorite food event is back with a few tasteful changes. The Sandestin Gumbo Festival is moving to The Village of Baytowne Wharf and President’s Day Weekend February 18-19. The 22nd annual event has been expanded to include an entire weekend of fun, food and live entertainment.
The weekend will kick-off with the first ever “Taste of the Village” on Friday, February 18th where Village merchants offer a sampling of the region’s finest cuisine. Saturday, February 19th will host the festival's main event, the Sandestin Gumbo Cook-off, where guests sample gumbo and Bloody Mary's voting for their favorite as People's Choice. Celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the "Area's Best" awards for gumbo. The award for Best Display, which goes to the business or restaurant with the most innovative booth, will also be announced. Ticket holders will enjoy family entertainment and live music throughout the entire weekend.
Tickets can be purchased online or at participating restaurants, through our sponsors. A weekend ticket is $15 in advance and $25 on the "day-of" the event. Receive a $5 discount on the "day-of" entry fee by donating five or more non-perishable items. Proceeds will benefit The United Way of Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
