The Luau entry foyer arouses visions of the South Pacific, with its slate flooring and bamboo and rattan ceiling.
The lush tropical landscaping of the Luau pool vicinity celebrates the spirit of the Polynesian Islands. Water cascades down from volcanic rocks into the 4,000 square foot saltwater pool; jets of water gush up from the kiddy pool creating a fountain that is sure to entertain the kids; and the bubbling hot tub invites those who seek a warm, therapeutic jacuzzi. Don’t forget to grab a frozen margarita or strawberry daiquiri and a hamburger or chicken sandwich from the poolside tiki bar (seasonal).
As you probably know, a luau is a traditional Hawaiian feast featuring delicious eats from the South Pacific. We strongly recommend that you have your own luau at Luau, but with a touch of Destin! The onsite family BBQ facility features stainless steel gas grills... perfect for grilling your favorite cut of meat from Publix or those fillets from the grouper you caught earlier out in the Gulf.
Don’t forget about the sunset deck! Located on the 11th floor of Tower 2, the sunset deck offers spellbinding panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Baytowne Golf Course and the renowned Sandestin coastline.
Ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes and free weights await those who want to take advantage of the onsite Luau fitness center, which is conveniently located on the ground floor of Tower 2.
Luau 6806 is a studio unit located on the 8th floor of Tower 1 and offers unforgettable western views of the Gulf of Mexico, pool and golf course. This unit is elegantly decorated with furnishings fit for King Kamehameha himself. Luau 6806 has its own kitchenette (equipped with microwave, sink, mini-fridge, toaster & coffee pot) and dining area that seats two. The love seat in the sitting area pulls out into a twin sleeper sofa.

When you stay at the Luau, you will be ensured Kaiolohia... which means “tranquil peace of mind” in Hawaiian. It really doesn't get much better than this.
Overall the trip was very good and relaxing. The room was nice and clean. My only complaint was there was not enough luggage carts. We had to tote all of our luggage to and from our room with no cart.
the room was perfect for just two people. my husband and i had a wonderful time! enjoyed the music by the pool (wish it was a little louder though) and also enjoyed the sun deck on the top floor of our condo. that was a beautiful view! great vaca for the price
We re-visited Sandestin Resort, and specifically the Luau complex, for our 1 year anniversary. We stayed in the other tower last year after getting married in Destin. The property and atmosphere were A+. We were able to relax for a week and the ability to do so many things in the area made it a great getaway. The staff on property were nice and the Crye-Leike Costal Realty staff were top notch and helpful as well. We plan on coming back for a 4th time next year. Highly recommend this company and this location in Destin!!
Beautiful complex, convenient to the beach and pool and other amenities. I was there with my daughter and her friend. It was not necessarily a good accommodation for the 3 of us. It would have been better for a couple. The place is marketed as a one-bedroom, but really it is just a large hotel room.
