Located on the beachside of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, Luau is a pair of newly constructed high-rises with a Polynesian flare.
The Luau entry foyer arouses visions of the South Pacific, with its slate flooring and bamboo and rattan ceiling.
The lush tropical landscaping of the Luau pool vicinity celebrates the spirit of the Polynesian Islands. Water cascades down from volcanic rocks into the 4,000 square foot saltwater pool; jets of water gush up from the kiddy pool creating a fountain that is sure to entertain the kids; and the bubbling hot tub invites those who seek a warm, therapeutic jacuzzi. Don’t forget to grab a frozen margarita or strawberry daiquiri and a tasty sandwich from the poolside tiki bar (seasonal).
As you probably know, a luau is a traditional Hawaiian feast featuring delicious eats from the South Pacific. We strongly recommend that you have your own luau at Luau, but with a touch of Destin! The onsite family BBQ facility features stainless steel gas grills... perfect for grilling your favorite cut of meat from Publix or those fillets from the grouper you caught earlier out in the Gulf.
Don’t forget about the sunset deck! Located on the 11th floor of Tower 2, the sunset deck offers spellbinding panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Baytowne Golf Course and the renowned Sandestin coastline.
Ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes and free weights await those who want to take advantage of the onsite Luau fitness center, which is conveniently located on the ground floor of Tower 2.
Luau 6222 is pool-view unit located on the 2nd floor of Tower 2. This unit is elegantly decorated with furnishings fit for King Kamehameha himself. The kitchen features marble countertops, black appliances and a breakfast bar. The guest bedroom is a lock-out studio unit and has its own kitchenette (equipped with microwave, sink, mini-fridge, toaster & coffee pot), twin sleeper sofa and dining area that seats two.

When you stay at the Luau, you will be ensured Kaiolohia... which means “tranquil peace of mind” in Hawaiian. It really doesn't get much better than this.
Great resort the walk to the beach was pretty far with children and the room was okay but the smell was very unpleasent the carpets were also in bad shape loved the resort just not the room.
This condo was overall average. The condo was split into 2 parts: the main living area with a bedroom, and another bedroom. It was not one large area as described. Also, it was described as 6222, but actually it was 6222 and 6224, which we did not know. There also was a mix up and when we arrived at our room (after a long travel day) there were already people in our room! Sandestin and Crye Leike had a mix up! So we called the on call rep at Crye Leike and she wasn't sure what to do. So after many phone calls to her, and an hour later of standing in the hallway with all of our luggage, a maintenance worker with Crye Leike came up and we figured everything out. Another problem we had with this condo was the smell. Everyday we arrived back at the condo it smelled like rotting sewage. Every now and then a big whaft of putrid smell would come into the condo and we would all look at eachother like we had passed gas but really it was the air coming into the condo! It was just awful We had
The Luau condo is a 2 bedroom and is split. We do tell our guest this upon check in. The mix up was due to the Sandestin guest. This has never happened before. They were to stay on the 3rd floor and got mixed up. Our housekeepers were cleaning when they came in and left their belongings there and left. It was not our company that did anything it was just a simple mistake on the other guests part. Once you called we immediately contacted the resort to see what the problem was and they did not know what to do. We then immediately sent over an employee from our company to figure out the problem. We apologize for the smell and it being taken care of. We are sorry you got off to a rough start and hope you did enjoy the rest of your stay. Thank you
We had a group of 8 girls go down for Memorial Weekend ~ Luau was great! The pool was relaxing and the beach was a short walk. Hope to make another trip down there soon!
The place was great and the staff at Crye-leike were friendly. (well some don't make the mistake of going in the wrong door)The only issue we really had with the place is that it smelled like someone had a cat once, and this cat decided to mark his home. A LOT! you just can't get rid of the smell with aan air freshener. You could solve this problem with new carpet.
We apologize for the inconvenience you had during your stay. Cats are not allowed in the condos and we are unsure of the what you encountered during your stay. We have cleaned the carpet. We again apologize and hope you had a wonderful vacation.
I waited at the front desk briefly to receive the keys and paperwork for my condo. When we arrived at the site I walked into the room which has not everything I booked. After calling back to the office I was informed that both 6222 and 6224 were mine.... In the future I would recommend this be explained at the office to your guest. I was also informed when I booked the location that we were on the beach, however it was close it is NOT on the beach. We enjoyed the heated pool since the weather was cool. I did not like that all the accomadations were not explained...I did not know that the room included a round of golf. Or there were not recommendations of what to bring like bikes, golf clubs, etc. So much to do but to little information given with the reservation package that was sent when the reservation was made.
The main room was loaded with 3 or four air freshners to try and mask an odor in the room.. The longer the week went on the worse it got.. Not sure if it was old carpet. Which was not in great shape anyway.. But it is still close to the beach and great pool..
I apologize for the odor in the unit, I'm not sure if there were smokers in the unit or not and not quite sure why there were air fresheners there either. I?m glad you enjoyed the pool and beach area and hopefully you'll return and have a better vacation with us.
We rented this property for the July 4th weekend and had a blast. The resort is beautiful and has tons of activities. The condo is in a great location for the pool and beach. The condo was very clean and nicely furnished including beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards in the closet. The pool view balcony was huge and fun to socialize on. You can even get a partial view of the beach from the balcony. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.
