When entering Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort one is impressed. The grounds are impeccable. Small ponds with gushing fountains, flowers and a well-maintained golf course. Beachside II appeared to be a bit older than some of the other condos on the beach however has a very nice pool (could use a jacuzzi) and is located right at the waters edge (couldn't ask for a nicer location). We love being on the gulf. The condo unit itself was okay however in comparison to others that we viewed could use some updating. The unit met our needs however has no "wow" factor. We encountered several problems during our stay the main one being lack of heat (which was needed due to cold weather). The realtor did have the furnace replaced. We found the realtor to be very accommodating in their attempt to correct any problems. The unit itself was lacking certain items which we went out and purchased however I am quite sure had we spoke to the realtor about this the items would have been supplied. In

This condo was clean and in a great location, but was very old and needs LOTS of updating.
Im sorry about the updates but will get with the owner and inquire on what we can do to improve this unit for our future guests. Thank you for your concern.
We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the location of the condo in Sandestin. The home was well equipped but there were maintenance issues that we felt could have been handled better by the rental company. The air filter in the a/c unit looked like it had not been changed in several months. There was a leak in a pipe that from the looks of the wall and flooring had been going on for some time. We don't understand how the soaking wet carpet in the front bedroom could have been missed by housekeeping. We called Crye Leike Sunday morning and the line went to a fax machine. We called again on Monday and the carpet was cleaned by mid afternoon, however, the door to that bedroom would not close the rest of the week as the padding had to be removed and the carpet was not tacked back down. We lost time on our vacation dealing with the issue as Crye Leike is not responsible for theft of our belongings. We feel we should have been offered the choice of another unit minimally. Maintenance issues do occur in the rentals time to time and we try and act quickly as possible on the matter. The leak from the pipe and carpet being wet was something that had happened during your stay. The condo has had back to back check ins and if this situation would have occurred before we would have taken care of it before you checked in. We did let you know that you did not have to be present in the condo while we had our maintenance worker there but I do understand your view in this. I spoke with you during this process and we did fix the situation. We would have been more than happy to move you but that never came up in the conversation as again the maintenance issues were fixed. This condo is nice and does have an amazing view.
The condo was nice. It had a great view of the beach. You can not rent the San Destin chairs and umbrellas so bring your own. The beach was beautiful and the water clear. There is parasailing just a few feet down the beach. We would definitely stay there again.
The property itself is a great setup for a vacation with teenagers. I loved Baytowne Wharf and the surrounding area. The condo was an absolute nightmare. Our first day in it, we felt like it was so outdated and not very clean. Day two - the cleaning crew came in and cleaned carpets and recleaned the unit. There were actually dirty sheets left on the pull out couch - we were given fresh ones - but I don't like handling other peoples dirt. The carpets were absolutely filthy and stained, the kitchen seemed unsanitary, the porch was a mess with broken tiles, screens off of the doors laying across the balcony and dirt and filth on the floor. This was bad - but the mold around the tubs, drains that didn't drain and toilet that overflowed topped it all. Not to mention that we given 3 towels for a family of 6 - figure that one out. We also had to space out our showers - about 1 every 45 minutes because the hot water was little to none. I will neve
We appreciate your comment and feedback. The condo has been updated with flat screen TV?s, new furniture etc. After receiving your call we did send the houskeeping call out to meet your needs. We do apologize for missing the pull out sheets and this has been addressed with the housekeeping staff. The kitchen was definitely not unsanitary and we are sorry you felt that way. We believe the reason the screens were off and the condition of the balcony was due to bad weather right before your arrival. As far as the water heater goes this was the first time we have heard of this and are now replacing. We sincerely apologize for that as I know that is a big inconvenience. I?m sorry you had a bad experience and hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay.
Upon arrival at the rental agency, we were given the wrong code to enter the property and the wrong property address. The lock to get into the actual condo did not work. The entire turnkey was loose and just kept turning around. The telephone didn't work and we had to use our cell phones the entire time. The eyes on the stove were not level due to the wrong size drip pans under the burners. Try to cook with the pan being lopsided! The refrigerator was not cooling properly and we came close to losing all the food that we had bought. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The rental agency did send a person to fix it the next day. The tubs drained extremly slowly. We were very disappointed in the property and the rental agency.

We really liked the location and the condo was so nice. I would caution you who you rent from because we were charged an additional $85 for a stain we were not aware of in the condo. If I had seen the "one stain" prior to our departure, I would have cleaned it up myself as opposed to paying for all of the carpets to be professionally cleaned. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and the condo.
Im sorry about the stain in the carpet. If housekeeping was contacted about the stain or if it was reported Im sure they wouldve came out and fixed it and there wouldve been no charge on your behalf.
