This gorgeous 3 bedroom 2 bath house is located in the gated community of Destiny East off of Scenic HWY 98. Not only is this house in a great location but you also have several amenities within your neighborhood including a beautiful community pool with a waterfall, a putting green, fitness center, kids playground, and a very nice movie theater located inside the clubhouse. This house has its own screened-in private pool with an outdoor television and is within walking distance to the beach and a great seafood restaurant called The Crab Trap. Also, this neighborhood has an underground tunnel (about half a block from your house) that takes you to the beach and to the Crab Trap so that you do not have to cross the street. Come get away from your busy life and relax on Destin’s world famous sugary white sands and emerald waters. This will be one decision that you are sure to never regret!
My stay was ok, not great but ok. We got a call from your company one day into our stay, asking if we were checking out. We were two days from our departure day. Also we recieved a call basically asking me if we damaged the house, which we didn't. That was kind of insulting. Everyone at your office was very positive and had very good attitudes.
The home itself was gorgeous. Our two children loved their rooms, and the pool. When we first saw the pool, it looked a little small, but it turned out to be just large enough for us to all have fun in. The master suite is particularly lovely and spacious. The home has ample storage inside and outside in the garage. The only two things that were minor inconveniences was that there was no shower outside to wash off beach sand, and that the home is on the street the furthest from the beach. Luckily, the home has a golf cart to drive to a public parking lot at the beach, but were it not for the oil spill and the resulting bad tourism, there's no way we'd have been able to find a parking space after 7:00 am.
We had a blast and the house was perfect. We enjoyed the enclosed pool and the short walk to the beach. The early check out was the only downfall. If we could we would do it again.
Destiny is a gorgeous home. The pool is not very big but was perfect for my family. We loved it. Really awesome that is was screened in. The location of the home was very nice and so was the community/ subdivision. The beach is only a short stroll away. My complaints were not enough towels for a family of 8 and the mattresses and beds were not very comfortable. The master's bed appeared to be broken and made a lot of noise each time I adjusted myself during the night. The mattress truly needs to be replaced. The rest of my family complained of the same issue.
The house is lovely, and we enjoyed the pool very much. The house was spacious and well appointed. What spoiled the trip were the beds. The master bed was lumpy and all the beds so creaky they prevented sleep. The fold out bed has almost no padding. We had to go buy air mattress to get any sleep. My complaints to office went on deaf ears and they said they had not had any complaints. When we checked the guest book in the house, every guest for last stays had complained about the beds. We would go back only if they changed the beds.
This house is very nice. It has tile throughout. We had a lot of fun with the kids in the screened in pool, only complaint here is the water was a little cold and there is no option to heat the pool. The kitchen was very nice with about everything you will need. The TVs could use a little updating and the one by the pool did not work, but who watchs TV in Florida anyways! This house is pretty much in the middle of everything. Very close to the outlets. You will most likely have to drive to the beach, but the beach is very close and there seemed to be plenty of parking. WE had 4 adults and 2 small boys in the house. I would not recommend any more than that. We will most likely visit this house again.
I would give the house 5 stars, except it is a bit of a walk to the beach for the price. The house itself is beautiful - wonderfully decorated, well appointed, comfortable beds. We greatly enjoyed the pool as well, and the neighborhood is very nice. Minor things that could be improved: Add a grill to the back yard, perhaps where the grass is on the left of the pool. Also, the pool alarm was very annoying. When it worked, it was an annoyance we could live with. When it started working erratically, we took out the battery! There should be a manual override. Major drawback was location (for those like us with small children). When I rented, I specifically asked Crye-Leike about location, and was told it is across the street from the beach.... which is true... but there is no way to get there through the other gated neighborhood! SO, I felt like Crye-Leike was dishonest. Everyone seems to have a golf cart for the beach, and the house DOES have one in
This gated community was beautiful and the home we rented thankfully lived up to its pictures. It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Our family plus elderly parents filled up every room and although we spent much time away from the house the multiple TVs were priceless when grandad wanted to watch the news, teens wanted to play games, women wanted to watch a chick flick and husband rented an action DVD. The private pool was a big hit, too. Close access to the beach allowed us to walk over and not fight for a parking spot. Restaurants and shopping were a few minutes drive. Two things: darkening drapes for master bedroom and fix backyard lighting and patio TV.
we had a great stay and the house was beautiful. We even got checked in about three hours before our check in time. Everything was great!!#!
The home was beautiful. I really loved the decorations. The beds were very comfortable. We absolutely loved the pool (smaller than it looked in the pictures). The only things that need to be done to the home. The walkway to the back of the pool is VERY slippery they need to put something out there. Also the air conditioner would not cool the house. We would set it between 72-74 and it stayed above 80. We called twice and they sent someone out yet it still never worked right. I just feel for what we paid ($2600) we should have been able to have stayed cool.
The house was very nice and in a good location for all the sites and restaurants. The pool was nice so that days you did not want to fight a crowded beach. The club house eminities were excellent and had a great pool and exercise roon. The only thing bad was the AC went out 1 afternoon and it was not fixd till the next day. I recconndation would be to let renters use the golf cart to get back and forth to club house most people were using them and when we were there they were sold out and the owners just sitting in the garage.
I had originally made this week long getaway to Destin for me and my wife, but after driving 14 hours and seeing the house just across from the beach, we had to have our boys come down. We got one night alone in the house, but it was such a beautiful and big house that we felt guilty spending it there alone. Our sons loved it and we plan on returning every year, and we plan on keeping the same house. We loved the house! I would and have recommended Crye-Leike and Destin to everyone we know.
We truly enjoyed our stay here, the home was beautiful and conviently located. We felt like we were at home here and it is definitely better than any hotel or condo you could stay at. The only suggestions we have is that something be down about the tile flooring around the pool area. It is extremely slick when wet and dangerous!! Also, a DVD player needs to be put into the main livingroom.
This home is in a wonderful location. Close to the beach as well as great restaurants. We really enjoyed our week stay. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad although it would have been nice to have a golf cart to help carry all the beach gear. The house is beautifully decorated and was a great fit for our family. The private pool with the covered patio was great to come back to after a day at the beach. Destin is one of our favorite places to come too. We will certainly be back real soon.
It was a wonderful stay and I recommend it to anyone. Families will enjoy the enclosed pool and spacios home.
THIS BEAUTIFUL HOME WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE BEACH. THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS SMALL AND SAFE FOR OUR GRANDCHILREN TO WALK AROUND THE BLOCK ALONE. THE PRIVATE POOL WAS A GREAT EXTRA. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD HAVE MADE IT A LITTLE BETTER WOULD HAVE BEEN THE USE OF THE GOLFCART. WILL RENT AGAIN.
