We can't wait to go back in September! Everything was just what it said it, would be!! The beach with it's soft cool white sand is the best with kids!
Clean place w/ everything we needed. Great views/access to beach, a short drive from Destin activities and a nice jogging sidewalk across the street. The spa heater was broken and the wireless internet never worked. Although the maint staff made attempts to resolve each of these issues it would have been better if they simply worked. But the location and cleanliness made up for the minor problems. We'd recommend it to our friends.
Trying to rent the unit took numerous phone calls in spite of the fact that I emailed my questions and asked for an email reply. On our 3rd day, the agency called early to ask if a workman could come in and install a different modem. Although he was a very sweet guy, I don't go on vacation to attend to workmen--I could stay home for free and do that. This would not have actually been an issue until the occurrence later that same day. A real estate agent let herself and a client into the townhouse and proceeded to try to show the property--even though I had a sick husband trying to sleep in the bedroom and one child still in bed. She also tried to argue with me that we were not allowed to rent the property as it was a foreclosure! I called the Crye*Leike office and they got on the phone with the agent and promptly got her to leave. However, I was already irritated at this point and the day had been ruined. We received good service from the management company. We had one issue with a lock which we thought was broken and they came right away to fix it, but as it turned out, it wasn't really broken. The home was very nice - nice furniture and window coverings, professionaly decorated, comfortable beds. The kitchen was nice - roomy, appliances in good shape, fairly well stocked. The family room was a bit small for six people but wasn't a problem. One of the bedrooms was fairly small as well. The kids loved the plunge pool and used it several times a day - a great break from the beach. Many lightbulbs were out in the house and our toilet paper dispenser was not affixed to the wall (just sitting on the floor). The area rugs were filthy, but we attributed that to being at the end of the season. None of the glass table tops seemed to be clean when we arrived. We enjoyed having the TVs in every room and the DVD players were easy to use. We could never get the wireless internet to work.
Home was beautiful and spacious. Decor was great, everything appeared new and very clean. You can't get better access to the beach either. Plenty of room for our family of 9. Location was ideal - close to all the popular restaurants and outlet mall, and never in the car longer than 10 minutes. Only thing I'd recommend is providing a suggested list of "what to bring" or "what's not provided" in the house so families can pack appropriately.
This is a great house right on the beach. Kitchen is nicely stocked. There were 7 of us and we always had enough dishes and glasses. We had a great view of the sunrise and sunset! Enjoyed the balconey on each floor. Convient location, just a short drive to restaurants/shopping. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we would definately choose "Absolute Paradise" to stay in.
This is a great home on the beach. Just down the stairs and your in the sand. The elevator made it nice for our elderly mother.
This place was incredible! Right on the beach and furnished very well. Location was great and right where we thought it would be when booking. Perhaps the best part of this incredible place was waking up to coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach/ocean. The family loved the place and parking was fine with 3 large SUVs. Also watched people hook tarpon right out in front of the place...WOW! Oh yea...this place has an elevator too! Can't wait to go back!!!
