Close walk to the pool and beach. Unit was nice and felt very homey. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utinsils. We did have to wait all day to check in for the cleaning of this unit - when we finally got to check in, the dishwasher was full of dishes, a dirty blanket was on the bed, a pair of underwear was hanging on the bathroom door and a half eaten cookie was on the couch. The only other negative thing is that the dryer takes 2/3 cycles to actually dry.
We had a great time! The condo was very spacious and decorated so nicely! We traveled with two of our daughters, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The girls especially loved the built-in bunk beds. It was very quiet, and being on the end was nice. I worried it would be too far to walk to beach and pool, but it wasn't a problem at all. I would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in unit 34. The owners were very friendly and helpful when we contacted them. The unit is very nicely decorated and the kitchen has all you need to dine in (which we did almost every night). Beach access is awesome...only minutes away. We have been coming to Gulf Winds East for about 10 years now and we have always been very satisfied. This unit is the nicest one we have ever stayed in. Thank you to the owners. We really needed some relaxing time away, and we got it.
This unit is located in the back right corner of the property BUT was the perfect location. This unit has everything you need ! From the kitchen to the bedrooms, EVERYTING. All the beds are very comfortable and plenty of sitting room in the living room. It has a very cottage-feel. It has a clothes line for all your wet towels and bathing suits along with a small herb garden in the back. We really had a great week !!
I almost hate to let the cat out of the bag so it doesn't get too crowded! We have been searching for a quiet family vacation for years and this fit perfectly. We really felt at home but with our own private beach and pool. We will surely be back...maybe even buy here someday! Paradise.
Destin is one of our favorite places to vacation, we have stayed in several condos and by far our Unit at Gulf Winds #34 was perfect for our vacation, location was great, short distance to the beach, lovely pool, our unit was on the corner of the building which we loved due to privacy, the unit is CLEAN and decorated beautifully, not over decorated that you would have to worry about children breaking anything, very comfortable and very well equiped and loved the space, we shared the unit with friends who had 2 children 8 and 10, there as plenty of space and privacy for us all. Would recommend this unit to anyone, there was 4 adults and 2 children, more than that it might be a bit cramped. Hope to visit again and be able to stay at this unit on our next vacation.
We had a great visit at Gulf Winds East. The property was beautifully decorated and in great shape. It is evident the owners take much pride in their property. We will definitely go back in the future.
