October is an exciting month for Destin. The Destin Fishing Rodeo kicked off on October 1st. The month long event will take place down by AJ’s and is free for all spectators.
The Destin Fishing Rodeo comes with another special annual event. The Destin Seafood Festival. This year the festival starts October 6th and continues all weekend long. Featuring live music, kids entertainment, and of course local seafood.
The live music features the likes of Group Therapy, The Village Bellas, and an amazing fire spinning show. There is no shortage of entertainment for the kids. The Harbor Walk Village features a kid zone with pony rides, petting zoo, and games geared towards toddlers. For the older kids they have a hamster ball, rock climbing, and a pretty cool zip line.
Of course, you have the local caught seafood. Vendors providing the delicious seafood to name a few are AJ’s, Boathouse Oyster Bar, and Dewey Destin Harborside.
There will be shuttle service to get you back and forth safe.
