Destin is coming back to life and it has a few events to help everyone get back to enjoying the Florida air.

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is hosting a few special events that are sure to be crowd pleasers. Their annual Gumbo Fest kicks off February 17th – 18th. This year the festival will be held in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. The 15th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade will line the streets February 28th. This is a free event great for the kids to catch some candy and beads.

The Harbor Walk in Destin will be hosting their own Mardi Gras events starting February 24th.  The first day, the 24th, will feature a Pub Crawl around all the restaurants in Harbor Walk Village. The second event on the 25th is the parade featuring live music and Mardi Gras floats. On the 28th is the Fat Tuesday celebration with a pet costume contest!

The warm weather has graciously provided us a warm winter allowing for beautiful beach days. So even though it’s still winter, technically, you can still enjoy our famous beaches while enjoying all the events.

The Emerald Coast has plenty of free events to help Destin come back to life, gearing up for a highly-anticipated Spring Break leading into Summer.
