Things to do in Miramar Beach
Located within the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the Village of Baytowne Wharf is home to shopping, dining, and entertainment, and it’s host to a number of festivals and events throughout the year. This one-stop hub is located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay. You’ll find tons of local boutique stores that sell all the odds and ends you’ll need for vacation, as well as gifts to bring home for loved ones-- or yourself! Attend events like the Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival at Baytowne Wharf.
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Just a little past Sandestin is the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, a 1,600-acre Florida State Park that offers three miles of white-sand quartz beaches. This park features freshwater dune lakes, old-growth pine forests, sand dunes, wetlands, scrubland, and 13 imperiled wildlife species. Activities in this park include birdwatching, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, biking, fishing, and more.
Emerald Bay Golf Club
Located in nearby Destin, Emerald Bay Golf Club is a beautiful 18-hole golf course along the Choctawhatchee Bay. This golf course was designed by Bob Cupp and includes challenging water features, lush tropical landscape, and stunning fairways. Beginners and experienced golfers alike will find this course fun and challenging. There is also a newly renovated clubhouse and restaurant on-site.
When you're on vacation in Northwest Florida, you can't miss out on a fishing excursion to explore the area's waters. Some nearby companies include Dead Fish Charter, Lil' Lucky of Destin, and Legacy Boating Club. All of these companies are within easy access to our Miramar Beach rentals and offer a variety of different options for excursions. Paddle Tribe offers guided tours and lessons for newbies, as well as special tours like sunrise and sunset excursions. They also offer SUP yoga classes by appointment.
